Content Specialist

Overview:

Working as part of a collaborative team, the Content Specialist supports the content marketing team in building client brands and increasing online traffic by executing creative strategies across multiple social media platforms.


Responsibilities:
 

Produce engaging, shareable creative content that adheres to brand guidelines (tone, voice, etc.), employ creative best practices appropriate to given channels/platforms, and ensure creative assets are optimized accordingly.

Actively participate in a wide range of social media activities and maintain branded social media profiles across a variety of platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

Manage cross-platform social media campaigns including promotions and ads.

Build and integrate social media calendars and posting calendars into content calendars to align with overall content marketing strategy.

Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about the company, competitors, and/or industry, involving both existing customers and leads as well as new audiences; monitor brand reputations across multiple channels.

Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that educates and entertains brands’ target audiences.

Serve as a trusted source of social channel insights for the other members of the team.

 

Qualifications:
 

Proficiency using social channels for marketing purposes: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, blogs, etc. All candidates will be asked to submit a portfolio of sample social posts and/or previous agency work.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing creative assets of uniformly high quality.

Versatility and willingness both to take ownership for all areas of his/her job and accept new assignments in the interests of achieving team goals.

Curiosity. The successful candidate for this position will proactively ask questions and constantly seek to enhance their understanding of agency operations.


Experience:

 

We’re seeking individuals with 1 to 3 years of marketing experience (including internships, if applicable) who can think quickly, enjoy working in a collaborative environment and can contribute unique ideas. Agency experience is a big plus.

 

Technical Requirements

 

Working knowledge of any of the following tools a big plus (though we will train on all): Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Advertising, Woobox, Shortstack, Mailchimp, Wrike, Cataboom, Qzzr, Canva, Wordpress (or equivalent CMS), Google platforms (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.)..

 

Education:
 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing Communications (or equivalent professional experience).
